Hi all,

I want to simulate flow through the packed bed (cylinder filled with spherical particles). Earlier i was having fluent 6.0 version then i came to know that there is option for packed bed in fluent 6.1 version.

I got 6.1 version today but not able to get the option. Please help me.

regards

Hi,

maybe you need the porous zone option, Fluent offers. Ther you can set the resistance of your packed bed based on the ergun equation.
