Hi...
I am testing the model that the liquid is falling down on the surface. VOF - 2 Phases (air, water) - Geo reconstruction - unsteady And I made the volume fraction for the liquid. :> adapt - region - circle :> initilize - patch I would like to put the velocity condition, 1.6m/s, for the liquid. But, I dont know how to put the initial velocity for the liquid. Should I use the UDF ? Is there any good way to solve the problem, not using UDF? Please, help me. Thanks for your attention Jay |

hi Jay,
When you patch the region, there is an option where you can specify the initial pressure, velocities and temperature(if you have enabled the energy equation! just like you patch region for volume fraction by choosing 1 for water, you can specify velocity, pressure etc by choosing mixture! and since you are simulating water dropping, dont forget to enable gravity! hope this helps.
