Hi all, I have sucessfully use UDFs to define the motion of the rigid-body center of gravity. Now I want to use some experimental motion data to define the motion. The experimental data contain the x,y,z velocities and x,y,z angular velocities. The problem is which field names should I use to define these parameters in the .prof file. I tried something like vx,vy,vz,wx,wy,wz but it didn't work. So anyone can give me a hint to this problem? Thank you very much. ducvinh

hi ducvinch,
I am also simulating similar kind of problem where i have the data of displacement vs. time. I can understand that i need to define rigid body motion through boundary profiles. Let me know if you get more information on it. Can you please send me the UDF to define the rigid body motion? Thanking you. Dipak |

Dear Deepak
I am also working on dynamic mesh problem only. But I am having the pressure differences across the face. I am trying to run the piston due to pressure difference across the faces using udf. But the problem is the velocity value is calculating, but when it is given to piston, it is not moving. What may be the reason for this? When I try to run the same model using constant velocity, it is moving. Can you help me... Regards Karthick |
