Hi, everybody

I wanna simulate the problem about transient dicrete phase model. The particles released in different instants (ex. 10sec, 20sec....) And the particle quantity changed with flow rate. Please give me suggestions to solve this problem !

Thanks

Hi

You can use different injections. for eg. inj-1 for 10secs and inj-2 for 20secs, stc. You can also specify injection location, particle dia, mass flow rate, etc.

Kindly look into the DPM injections details in the fluent manual. It is more or less self expalainatory.

Dont hesitate to reply if u face any problem.

Regards, Titiksh

Hi Titiksh,

Thanks for your reply. The particles are distributed as parabolic shape in fully-developed inlet flow. I must descripe the particles by UDF ?

Regards, Jason
