I think that this was a bug that occurs when the operating pressure was set to zero. I think that this has been fixed in the latest version of Fluent (6.1.22). What version are you using now?

You can raise the operating pressure to 12Pa and then decrease your (initial) gauge pressure in the Solve -> Initialize panel by 12Pa. Please see the Fluent user guide.

hello sir,
kindly need your help. let me have a brief introduction. i am rajagopal doing final mechanical in bannari amman institute of technology, sathyamangalam. i am learning the fluent in PSG technology, coimbatore. i am analyzing the flame path and shape inside an bagasse fired combustion chamber of bannari amman cogeneration unit. till date i have constructed the combustion chamber model in gambit and have meshed and exported it. also just for sample purpose i have given air as input and checked the flow. let me first describe the inlet points. there are 5 inlets for bagasse, 5 inlets for air justbelow the bagasse inlets to make the bagasse spread inside the combustion chamber . also air enters through undergrate which is the bottom portion oof the combustion chamber. now my doubt is:: 1. bagasse is not given in the materials list. so how to add it to the materials list. 2. i have created prepdf for bagasse. but the thing is that how can i think that bagasse will flow exactly in the inlet meant for it. 3.how could i differentiate the bagasse and air getting inside the comustion chamber. even some more little doubts i have. so sir if you could clarify these doubts, i could ensue my project. and if u wish i can even send the works which we have performed till date. awaiting for your valuale reply. thanks in advance. |

Dear Rajagopal
I think u are solving the problem through non-premixed combustion model. In that you can add your oxidiser and fuel composition through pre-pdf Regards Karthick |
