Default Heat transfer in tube bank.

Im having problems with excess heat generation on tubes. I need to find the heat flux on the outside of a tube which is subject to an oncoming flow of cooler temperatures. However the tubes shadow is creating energy. This is causing the energy balance in the system to be over exaggerated. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
