Hi, I am trying to figure out the velocity profile of particles flowing over a backward facing step, in a flow chamber. I have used the gambit preprocessor,to draw my geometry and produce a mesh. i am still a beginer, not familiar with the software at all, and i still can't figure out how to export it to the fluent interface. please i will appreciate any help.
Thanks. |

In gambit select file menu, then export, then mesh. If your model is 2D make sure you also tick the box for exporting a 2D mesh.
To read the mesh in fluent, open the 2D solver and select read case. Make sure you scale the grid in fluent if you didn't created it in metres Good luck Mark |
