hi all,
i am trying to model and mesh a water tank in 2 dimensional and i am trying to export the file andsave it as .msh file. but, when i do that, it says the model has higher order elements and cannot be exported. i have tried taking the lesat no. of elements and also the quadrilateral elements. what ever i do, it gives the same error : higher oreder elements cannot be exported. so, could any one working on 2d in gambit help me out or show me a little way to go ahead. I would greatly appreciate that. Thank you |

Hi,
Do you check export 2D mesh option in the export window? Also 2D mesh should lie on XY plane. Do you select solver as Fluent, higher order elements means FE mesh not FV. Regards emre |

hi,
I think maybe you should check your geometry, and make sure you the geometry was made of faces and lines. |
