Can someone help me. I have a geometry with a curved surface. On this surface are bumps shaped like a fingernail. I am trying to create a plane of the fingernail shape so I can show certain contours without having to plot the whole surface. I have tried using the select points with a mouse, but no success. As well as trying to figure out the points. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

if u r in fluent try in surface menu, plane -point and normal, here give one point on the plane and describe suitable normal will give you the cross section plane.

I think what you wanna have a look at Steve is creating an iso-surface. Have a read of the manual - It should be quite easy.

I have done that. Yes, it is easy, but the plane is staight as an arrow. I want the plane to be curved, like a frown. Since that is what my geometry is shaped
