I meshed the boundary layer using hexedral style and lumen in triangle style for a arterial model. Who could kindly tell me the advantage for this choice? I did it with a recipe but don't fully understand why. Thanks a lot in advance.

Check the fluent documentation and see what Reynold value you're working with. Follow the instructions for the kind of model you need. One way is to check y+ value based on what kind of model you're using.... You may have to divide the viscous layer into number of cells to capture the flow behavior.
You may similar hits using google search: http://www.icemcfd.com/faq/faq_topic_1.html If you use some wall treatment then you can reduce the cell count in viscous layer..... |
