I am modeling an axi-symmetric swirling flow which passes through a porous media. My mesh is 2D and I am using Fluent6.0 I want to specify the viscous and inertial resistence coefficients in the swirl(tangential ) direction also, but in the "Fluid Panel" the Fluent gives me two directions coefficients ( I guess that is in axial and radial directions). How can I specify the resistence coefficients in the tangential direction ? I have referred to fluent manual which says we can specify this but I am not getting the swirl direction in the "fluid panel".
I appreciate your suggestions and help. Best Regards kulwinder |

I don't think you can have tangential flow in an axisymmetric model. Switch to full 3-D and you'll be able to specify tangential resistances.
