Default Program code for reading in Fluent grid/data files

I am intending to perform calculations based on the values of a Fluent 6 simulation. For that I need to be able to read the grid and solution data into my own program. The file structure of said Fluent files is well documented, and I can probably write my own 'interpreter' without too much trouble. However, I'm sure I'm not the first to do this, and I was wondering if such code (most preferably in C) is already publically available. Any help (pointers to websites, code libraries, ...) would be greatly appreciated.
