Hi All,

Has anybody calculated the vapor fraction (mass of fuel vaporized/original mass of the fuel) for the Discrete Phase Model? I have written a UDF for that but it shows weird answers.

Your help in this regard would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Chendhil.

'DISPLAY -> PARTICLE-TRACK' with options,

'REPORT TYPE' as 'step by step' and 'REPORT TO' as 'file'.

Then you can obtain droplet diameter, from which, you can calculate the vapor fraction.

Sincerely, Jinwook

Hi

Thank you for your response. I did write a small UDF and capture the current droplet diameter, density and number of particles. I also obtaind the initial properties. But, there seems to me some error in the procedure. I dont know how to proceed further. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Thanks,

Chendhil.
