Hello everyone. I'm trying to calculate the flow around a projectile, moving through a pipe. I used deforming mesh for that (dynamic layering or local remeshing methods). The rigid body (projectile) are moving with velocity more than 1000 m/sec. I would like to use mesh gradient adaptation for catching the compression shock around the projectile. But when I used the mesh gradient adaptation in time of moving projectile Fluent generated message about mistakes like "Internal error at line 3689 in file 'hang.c'. is_f_kid_in_cnbr: no cell child with child face Error Object: ()"
I use Fluent version 6.1.18. Is the version of fluent has the ability to solve problems with dynamic mesh model and mesh adaptation simultaneously? Any help would be appreciated. Regards Valery |

I'm not sure what the problem is, can you preview the mesh without getting the error? If you do get the error while previewing the mesh movement, try decreasing your time step size.
good luck |
