hi, mohamed.
from the FLUENT USC www.fluentusers.com choose the link to "online technical support". once you enter your Username and Password, click on "search solutions and request support". from this page you should be able to search the solutions database for solution #229. cheers, eric. |

Hi Eric
I've done what was indicated in the solution report, But I have always the next error message > Loading "E:\asperseur\anim\pg22.scm.txt" 1050 Reading "E:\asperseur\anim\jet_PG22_1050.dat"... Done. Error: cx-name-to-id: cannot find widget: Error Object: "Select File*Apply" > Do u have any idea about the source of this error thanks, Mohamed |

hi, mohamed.
i'm afraid i don't know the meaning of this error. i double checked just now, and i'm able to access this solution report successfully. do you get the same error when attempting to access any solution report, or just this particular one (#229)? i you'd like, i can send the report via email to the address you've provided here. cheers, eric. |

Dear Eric, thanks for your interest. Sorry , I was not enough clear in my last message.
I Mean I've already recuperated successfully the report 229, I made the adequate modifications in the scheme file... When I read this "command line" file in Fluent, there is 2 kinds of problem: 1. If first I make file/read/schem/file.scm , it asks me in the GUI to give the name of the 1st data file, OK. Then it returns this message error: Loading "E:\asperseur\anim\pg22_jou.scm" 1050 Reading "E:\asperseur\anim\jet_PG22_1000.dat"... Done. Error: cx-name-to-id: cannot find widget: Error Object: "Select File*Apply" : Otherwise, once I read the file .scm via file/read/journal/file.scm , it asks me again in the GUI to give the name of the 1st data file, OK [ Then it generates some messages error (Error: eval: unbound variable , Error Object: *eof*), it 's Ok for this error , it doesn't matter.] and such , it becomes possible now to re-read again the scheme file (from: file/read/schem/file.scm) and create those images correctly without error! Do u have any explication for this needless excessive passage by file/read/journal/file.scm ! 2. the second problem is that the reading data files process is not automatic, it asks me every time (from GUI) to give the name of the next data file and click OK. Do u now which modification can I make on the script file to make this process completely automatic? I'm sorry for this long message and for my modest english I'm trying to improve this file ( I'm initiating myself with scheme command to do this) Thanks in advance an have a good day, Mohamed |
