I wonder if VOF model in Fluent can be applied to simulate the following basic phenomenon:
The wind (with some speed) blows over water surface and causes water ripples. If the ripples can be simulated by VOF model in this case? How about Eulerian Model if VOF doesn't work? Thanks for any ideas. Sincerely. |

Hi; The main capability of VOF is the "surfase tracking". The VOF dose not allow two phase interpenetrating. I think that for your work the surfase tracking is important.

If that means VOF works for Water-ripple shaping based on your suggestion?
Thanks Roozbeth, and have a nice day. Sincerely. |

Hi!
Yes, the only way to simulate this is by using VoF model. If it works and how good it works is another question - just try, try, try... Good luck, MATEUS |
