Has anybody modeled an underexpanded jet flow from a nozzle, in which there is shock cell formation, if yes then i have couple of questions regarding boundary conditions and initial conditions for such a flow.

What inlet boudary conditions and initial conditions and exit boundary conditions have you taken, I guess i am facing a problem there only. Besides i am not getting an optimum value for courant number and dt. i am seeing shock waves and compression because of them just dont know if the results are correct or not.

whats your Reynoulds number at the inlet? And Froude number ? Could you pls describe your domain? Are you considering swirling ?

my Re=42000, and the jet openning is 0.014 m and the vel inlet is 3.33 m/s.... i encountered a swirling but there is no limit for this circulation...
