I think this question must have been already addressed before, but the search on the forum did not result anything , os here it goes again.
Is there a way to automatically save results to a file after certain number of iterations? I want the results to be stored in a file after a fixed interval. Moreover i also want the contour plots to be saved as images, is it possible to automate this. Thanks a lot. |

File-Write-Data, you can save the document. Put the mouse on the plot, press right button, choose "Copy to Clipboard".

Thanks. I am beginner on fluent and learning thing slowly. Is there a way to also save contours as images along with the autosaving of data file? If there isny any straight way, can a separate program do this? Greetings.

HI
You can auto save case and data every ?? timesteps/iterations. To get images it's the easyest to go to solve-animation-define.... After finished calculation you can store the images as mpeg, tiff, eps, jpg.... regards MATEUS |

This doesnt automate the things. I will have to do this manually,Read Case >Data for all the files, and then save images. On the other hand i was looking for a way to automate this stuff. A program which can read these data files and output images.
Thanks |

Hi
you can make use of journal file first you record your actions into that file and then run it Record is quite straightforward :file>write>star journal do what you want the journal to do :file>write>stop journal after this sequence look at the journal file if you need (as you need) edit it to run the journal :file>read>journal I hope it helps a bit |
