Can anyone help me with setting the reference values for a simple 2d aerofoil problem. I am trying to calculate coefficients but am unsure what direction the depth value is in and area values. My chord size is 0.45 metres and the span is 0.8 m.
Does this mean I input 0.8 into the length value and 0.45 into the depth value with the area value as 0.36 m (0.8 x 0.45)????? Cheers |

No You Should input 0.8 in the Reference Value/Depth text box, Then you shuold calculate your reference Area Value as Chord*Span and put it in the Reference Value/Area textbox. The input textbox Length is reference value for Moment coefficients calculation,
Hope this could help, Jkl. |
