I am trying to run my model in FLUENT using multiphase model(3D/Euler/K-E/Seggregated).On initializing inlet for the initial values, it gives me the error " Turbulent Viscosity limited to visosity ratio of 100000 in 166339 cells. Internal error at line 2405 in mp_press.c . bc_type not handled. Error object()". I have taken inlet to be mass flow inlet.
Please let me know where am I going wrong? |

Dear Pravin, U r not capturing the viscous layer. Refine the mesh near the boundary. " Turbulent viscosity...." message comes for that only.

Dear Atul,
Thanks for the reply. I would like to tell you that I ran the same model using velocity inlet instead of mass flow inlet and it ran perfectly fine. Could you tell me why was there a problem with mass flow inlet? Also there are couple of problems which I would like to ask you: (1)I am using air+smoke particles(aerosols i.e. solid). Whic one out of multiphase/multispecies/discrete phase modeling shud I go for? (2) Also I have to calculate the deposition in the lung. So how do I plot the contour for deposition i.e which factor/variable in FLUENT gives me the deposition? Thanks for the help!!! |
