Time dependant discharge from a closed volume

Hello all,
I'm in need of some guidance. I need to model the discharge from a pressure vessel through a valve. I am particulary interested in the change in flow rate over time, and the time to fully discharge. My main problem is in defining the boundary conditions of the pressure vessel. I thank you for your time, and look forward to any ideas. CR |

maybe you can have a try like this: define the pressure vessel as a separate volume in Gambit, and initialize it in Fluent with pressure, etc (you may use patching to initialize the specific volume. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply,
Since posting my original message I have woken up! Hadn't used fluent for a while and forgot some real basics. Thanks again, Chris |
