2D simulation as boundary condition for 3D problem

ok, i would like to simulate a 3D structure with one moving wall. However, this wall should be moving according to the velocity field of a 2D simulation. So i would like to use the 2D data to create a boundary condition for my 3D sim.
Anyone ever done something like this? Through UDF or other... |

So far as I know, Fluent doesn't take 2d data into 3d very well, but you can try.
My suggestion, try an MRF 3D simulation (don't need velocity data) and get a fit between your 2D data and 3D data. |
