Unsteady Simulations of Phase Change

I am currently doing simulations of a 2D, rectangular enclosure containing wax( with melting point = 317K). My boundary conditions are that the vertical copper wall surfaces are at a isothermal temp. of 363K and the horizontal wall surfaces are adiabatic at 300K.
My model used in Fluent 6.0 is unsteady, segregated, and first order implicit. As this is a conduction problem, the heated walls will conduct the heat into the wax, causing the wax to melt.I need to monitor the liquid fraction as it varies with time. Is there anything else i have to include or have excluded? Thanks! |
