Dear All,

I did a symmetrical 3D model for my heat transfer problem in a contracting duct. I drew half the model and defined the end faces as symmetry faces(i gathered all the end faces to be defined under as one symmetry face)..Also, i have put small annular heat sources inside the middle section of the whole duct.

After iteration and convergence, i tried to draw a plane at the symmetry section but i couldnt..only half the plane was drawn.. Also i tried to draw a line(vertical) through the symmtery face, but only a few dots came out when i displayed grid. I can see the temperature profiles at the symmetry plane itself but why cant i get a plane or a drawn in the middle section of the model(where the symmetry plane lies)? I need to plot temperatures across the symmetry plane as i need to see highest temeprature reached etc.. Can someone plz help?

Kalai
