Centrifugal force/ Rotating Wall

Hi All, When we define a rotating wall, do we have to add the centrifugal force (mw^2r or mv^2/r) to the momemtum equation in Fluent, or she does by herself ??!!

You need to specify the center of rotation and speed (rad/s). Centrifugal force gets calculated automatically during solution. Ashu

Are you sure you need a moving wall, and not a rotating reference frame?
The first is a boundary-condition. It applies a shear stress on the fluid at the wall. The second is a real moving zone you must assign to the entire fluid zone. You can obtain the same results, but the moving wall simulation migth take longer to converge than the moving reference-simulation. If your wall has in it's movement a component perpendicular to its surface, the shear-stress-formulation of the moving wall is incomplete to describe your problem.
