Mixsim with Fluent

Hi,
I'm using Mixsim v1.7 as preprocesesor. My problem description: batch stirred tank with radial impeller. As there is a problem with the Fluent license, I cannot utilise Fluent v4.5 to run together with Mixsim. What I did was: I generated a Fluent v5 case file, close Mixsim and then run the case file with Fluent v5.5. My BC was Fluid = 0 r/s whereas impeller and rotating shaft is relative to fluid = 1 r/s. But I couldn't get the profile (I tried with Mixsim Tutorial 4) stated in the tutorial. What I got was a lot of stagnant region occupying the space. Could anybody tell me how to simulate a stirred tank (there is no Fluent tutorial on that topic) or if anyone has done a similar problem I'd be grateful if he/she shares the techniques with me. |
