I am trying to model flow through a filter. Specifically i want to simulate the effect of concentration reduction through the filter for example a multiphase flow 50% air and 50% toluene passing through a filter with a known efficiency of removing toluene. The actual flow through the porous media is not of interest at this time simply the change in concentration. Can anybody advise me on a suitable method?

Use a scalar to model the concentration reduction.

Yes, look at the manual in how to implement it.
