The interface boundary is used when different (non-conformal) cell zones are fused into one big domain. The interface is where they meet.

hallo Erwin, thk u for helping. i am trying to find out mixing time in a tank with small jet at mid height. i am using gambit for grid genration. To introduce tracer what type of boundary condition i have to use? if i use interface boundary condition, how to feed tracer through the interface. pl. reply at the earliest. thanking u

Why are you using an interface? Do you have multiple cell zones fused in TGrid?
You can use tracers by defining an injection plane in the Define menu, no need to mess with boundary conditions. |

Dear Erwin, thk u for your clue. i am trying hard but some how i could not able to do it. can i use (non reactive) trace (using Define-injection facility,) to understand the mixing time in a tank,if yes? can you give me some more hints. waiting for your precious hints. thking u

In 'Define --> Injections' you define where the tracers originate, a single particle, a surface, etc and you can give the particles properties if needed.
Next step: in 'Define --> Models --> Discrete Phase' you select the number of steps and the step length. Finally: select 'Display --> Particle Tracks' to display the tracers. |
