FLUENT on Dual AMD AthlonMP system?

I am thinking about buying a new PC for running FLUENT simulations on. On Fluent's homepage one of the hardware requirements is "CPU: Intel Pentium Family of Processors ". Have anyone tried to run FLUENT on a Dual AMD AthlonMP system (with either Linux or Windows XP as operating system)?
Thanks. - Arild. |

No experience with AMD. Having great usage out of dual 2GHz Intel processors running Linux 7.

Recently I asked the dealer and their relpy was ok. The key point was that "Fluent only interacts with the OS, not the processor". So I think AMD is ok. In fact I am also planning for the same replacement.
