Hello Fellows! I need to know about introducing monitoring points on the centre line of a pipe to monitor the temperature change on those points so then i can plot those with position along pipe flow direction. In fluent 5.5 i have found XY plot along a plane but i want only the points on the center line of pipe. Guide me. Thank you.

go "Surface-> Line/Rake" in Fluent. You can make a center line and monitor the temperature change.

1. Create point "surfaces" (Surfaces-->Point..)
2. Use the Solve-->Monitor-->Surface to set up individual monitors for each of your surfaces. You specify the average value of the variable you want to write and specify the file-name. You can plot, print (to the console) and write your monitred values to file. 3. Review the FLUENT 5.5 Users' Guide Sections 17.15 and 17.16 for more tips |
