Hi there,
I have already completed an analysisi and would like to postprocess using Ensight v 7.3. So I exported the geometry and the data . The functions I exported were press, temp, vel, surfa. heat flux, surf. heat. tra. coeff.. But when I checked the scalar outpu file for surfa. heat flux abd surf. heat. tra. coeff I saw file full of 0's. Note that Fluent 5.5 can not display these last two variables as node values so all values for these two variables are 0.0 in the export file So any suggestions for exporting those cell values in Ensight format, i.e. nodal values ? Hi Leo,
This is later in time. But perhaps someone else is looking for similar information.... There is now a direct reader for Fluent files in EnSight 8.2 and later. So that's one option. Another option is to read the EnSight Case files into ens_checker which is a utility to check the format of EnSight Case files. All copies of EnSight include ens_checker, more recent versions provide better checking. So it would again be good to get the latest version, 9.1 or later, for that. Finally you could recommend to ANSYS that they use CEI's EnSight Case file API to correctly write the file format. There is no charge for the API from CEI. Regards, Darin Quote:
