Hi. I am trying to simulate the entrainment (and the angle of spread) of a free air jet in stagnant air surroundings. This free jet is
(i) an axisymmetric central jet or (ii) an axisymmetric annular jet. (iii) In a further step I want to combine the two jets. Re-Number is about 2500...13000, nozzle exit velocity is about 8...40 m/s. My problem is: which is the correct Viscous Model to use (k-epsilon ?), which are the correct Model Constants? Thank you in advance! Til |

The users's guide advises to use the realizable-k-eps, since it is the only one (of the k-e-models fluent offers) which doesn't show the round jet anomaly (bad angles of spread).
