I use Aerodynamics of Road Vehicles 4th edition, edited by Hucho, ISBN=0768000297 from SAE (R-177) this a perfect first book about Automotive Aerodynamics whether external or internal and it includes a chapter a bout HVEC and a chapter as an introduction to CFD.

This book is very good considering the understanding of physical aspects of flow related to Automotive domain of applications...for more detailed you're always welcomed to contact me on my email or on the forum
