about energy source in fluent5.4

Hi,
Now I have a problem about energy source in fluent5.4. Fluent5.4 solves the energy equation in the form including Sh(energy source)."Sh(energy source) includes heat of chemical reaction, and any other volumetric heat sources you have defined."But the chemical reaction examples in fluent5 tutorial guide do not add any energy source. How do fluent solve it? In gambit I define seperated "fluid region".I want to add mass source into the "fluid region".If I do not define energy source at the same time, the temperature in the "fluid region" is very low.If I define energy source at the same time, the temperature in the "fluid region" seem to be correct. But I don't know how much energy source I should add. Wolud you give me some advice?Any answner will be welcome. Thank you. |

I might give you some advise if you let me know your problem in detail because I have experience to add mass and enery source. Especially, which species are you going to add as mass source ? Fuel, oxidant or product ? And, it is, I think, fairly unusual to add two sources simultaneously. So, why are you going to add mass & energy source simultaneously ?
Sincerely, Jinwook |
