I still have a problem with sliding meshes. Please somebody help me.
I read my case file with the two sliding meshes and it works just fine. When I try to plot the grid, before even running, it gives me the following message: "Cannot create surface from sliding interface zone-creating empty surface". Then I run and it works but not very well. Can it be a problem relatd to that message? Thank a lot for the help. Pierre Ricco |

I don't think that this is a problem. A new "zone" is created for flux calculations is always created during interface generation and I believe that is what it cannot plot.
However, myself and others have been having difficulties understanding ghost walls that are created in addition to the sliding interface zone. See the previous message about interfaces posted on March 8 |

ok thanks.I also experienced the creations of "default interiors" once I read the gambit meshes in fluent. But they did not give me any problem.
Thanks a lot for the help. Pierre. |
