No turbulence models are good at predicting transition.
But which models are the best at predicting this for transonic aerofoil, and why? - in terms of the models mathematical properties. Thanks |

(1). Because I have not touched this area yet, even though I have been doing CFD for over 25 years. (2). It simply because vendors of the CFD codes are not doing research in this area. They are very busy selling the codes and trying to stay alive. (3). I guess, it is a perfect dissertation subject for the next PhD candidate. Why don't you do a survey to find out which vendor of the code is doing such research?
