I'M DOING A BASIC CFD ANALYSIS TO STUDY THE HEAT TRANSFER IN A RECTANGULAR CAVITY , THROUGH THE WALLS.KINDLY INSTRUCT ON HOW TO APPLY BOUNDARY CONDITIONS WHEN RADIATION ,CONVECTION AND CONDUCTION ARE ASSUMED AT THE WALLS..
FLOW ENTERS THE CAVITY THROUGH A SMALL OPENING WITH A VELOCITY OF 1 M/S ,TEMP AT INLET =50 C AND TEMP AT OUTLET = 100 |

1. For wall boundary condition, it is the same as convection/conduction problem, but you should give the emmisivity of wall material.
2. Proper gas radiation(radiation model selection, absorption coefficient ......) should be applied if required. 3. Outlet temperature is determined by the calculation, not imposed as boundary condition. Sincerely, Jinwook |
