Hi
I am trying to find Cd value of flow past circular cylinder using Fluent. But I end up with wrong results! Has anybody here worked on this case and got good results? Thanks in advance. |

(1).What kind of wrong results are you getting? 2.0, 0.1?(2). What good results are you expecting to get? (3). Cd=Drag/(A*0.5*Rho_freestream*U_freestream*U_freestream), A is Diameter*unit thickness, Drag=Viscous Drag at the surface + pressure drag on the surface. (4). Check the setting of the Reference values or conditions somewhere in GUI and make sure that they are set properly. (5). Always check the flow field first. Plot the streamline and check whether the solution is reasonable or not.

Thanks for your helpful comments.
I have noticed that I failed to change the area value in the Reference values list. After modifying the Area value, the Cd values are coming okay. |
