Heat Flux Calculation under REPORTS

In Fluent, there is a heat transfer rate calculation that can be made under REPORTS. When performing this calculation, one needs to select a surface over which the calculation is made.

Does fluent take into consideration the amount of area, of the surface, in this calculation? Or does Fluent use the reference value of area in the calculation?
