ethanol in prepdf3.1

It seems that Fluent does nor provide the right species formula for ethanol in prepdf (C2H6O or CH3CH2OH. Do you know maybe if it is defined under a different formula. Thanks

Hi Aseem,
Ethanol doesn't look to be included in the THERMO.DB database. This datafile is containing all the species used by prepdf. You need to add this species in it, with the thermophysical data (cp, enthalpy formation, entropy), in Chemkin format. I've got some information about that. However you need to find the thermophysical data for ethanol, which are not available in Chemkin. Have a look at this adress: www.cstl.nist.gov/div836/ckmech/species.html You might be lucky and get some interesting stuff. If you need any further information, don't hesitate.
