In Fluent,When i am going to add fluid and solid that time i found air and aluminum as a default and I am unable to remove both.



I wanna add MRF as a fluid and Steel as solid. How can i remove default materials to run my simulation perfectly?

Dear arjun,

If you want to eliminate the default materials in the fluent,Actually air is applied automatically to all fluid cell zones & aluminum for all solid cell zones. so u have to assign the required material to respective cell zones so that none of the cell zones have material assigned with air & aluminum. Now u can delete the unassigned materials from fluent.

If you want to know how to assign new materials,

First u need to add the required materials using the fluent material data base or else u can create the new material by entering the required material properties with appropriate name.Then assign the actual materials to the fluid and solid .
