Default Circumferential averaging over time

Hi all,

I am currently running a 3D-CFD simulation of an axisymmetric body. I modeled only a 18deg sector and I'm applying periodic boundary conditions.

The simulation started to oscillate (although it's steady state), therefore i switched to transient and saw that oscillation persisted. I assumed therefore it's physical, and proceeded to compute FFT of some of the monitor points I had place getting the frequency of oscillation based on the time-step I was using.

Now here's the catch.
Since I am interested in extracting circumferential-averaged profiles at specific locations of my geometry, I can proceed with with the circum-avg-radial command in the TUI. However, my solution is not steady, therefore a time-average is needed.

The first question is: how do I take the circumferential average over few periods of the oscillation? I tried setting up a radial-bands and monitoring over time (via surface report) the quantities I need for each band, but then I loose information about the exact location of the band as I only get the numbered-band and the quantity.

The second question is: how do I do the same thing but for multiple locations? When setting up a radial-band via circum-avg-radial in the TUI, you can set only one radial-band and if you try to create another one in a different location then the previous radial band is deleted and the new one is created. I don't want this. I want to monitor circumferential averages, again averaged over time, at different locations.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!

PS: Please note that I have no experience in setting up user defined functions (UDF) to by-pass the problem.
