Hi at all!
I have an important question for a project work that i'm following. My geometry is a simple Fin heat exchanger in which two serpentine tubes, through which two different generic fluids flow, are surrounded by a metallic foam with assigned thermal conductivity, specific heat, and density properties. I am wondering how to correctly model this solid zone. The option specified is "porous media," but this can only be activated for fluid cell zones. Therefore, is it correct to select them as simple "porous jump"? It is important to note that there is no fluid flowing inside the foam; it only surrounds the two copper tubes. Additionally, do you think it is more accurate to activate 'radiation' and consider the possibility that the two tubes exchange radiation due to the porosity of the medium? Thanks a lot!! |
