How to wrap only some objects together?

So I'm wrapping an FSAE car where the rollhoop is not attached to the body. If do a collective shrinkwrap on all the cad bodies, it adds a nasty big fillet as expected over the gap, which I don't want. I can add a fillet in cad and solve this issue but the gap here I feel would change the flow behaviour (and save me prisms). Is there a way to wrap the car body + wings + wheels etc, and wrap the roll hoop separately?
Here is what that gap looks like, rollhoop in green: https://puu.sh/JN43w/3049effaf3.png It only adds the fillet along the side of the car, not when it goes over the head of the driver, which is ok. I used to do a different method that didn't involve wrapping, and this gap doesn't cause any solution issues, so it'd be nice to get it working in the wrapping environment. Cheers |

I thought I'd found a way. Wrap the rollhoop object, then wrap everything else including the domain, then merge both mesh objects. Except when I compute volumetric regions, it gives me two. If I draw one, it's only the rollhoop. This is very strange since I merged the two objects previously into one surface mesh. Furthermore, since there are 'no shared face zones', I can't merge these volumetric regions. Any ideas?
