I am trying to run a 2D axisymmetric species transport methane-air simulation. I was trying to validate a paper with same setup as they used. But the temperature graph shows almost 400° difference with my run. What settings can I tweak to decrease the resultant temperature?

Hi,
you are always welcome to publish your settings but in general: - you can apply EDC model to slow down your reaction rates - you can use another chem mechanism, which in general will change your resulting Temperature. The mechanism often also includes thermo-propperties including cp. - if you are simplifying something to 2D, you have to pay attention to the chaning effective injection cross section area. This might change your overall massflows and mixture fraction. check if you got it right |
