Wrong side boundary condition with layering method.

I am simulating a 2d compressed cylinder using layerng method with the bottom moving up and down. I want to use the top layering method (constant mesh near the bottom, layering near the top). I set the bottom and fluid to be rigid body in motion, and the top is stationary. The air near the side wall has the same speed as the bottom. But it should be zero because the side wall is stationary.
(see and ) Later, I found that there would be two cell zone after the mesh was imported into fluent, one named fluid and the other with interior prefix, the former with boundary and the latter without. I changed the "fluid" in the dynamic mesh zone to "interior-fluid", and the result was correct, with 0 velocity near the side. (see and ) Later, I want to simulate the 3d situation, but after the mesh is imported into fluent, there is only "fluid" but not interial-fluid on the "mesh display" window, and the simulation result shows that there is speed around the side. May I ask how to solve this problem? If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be most grateful. |
