kof099 is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I am trying to model capillary rise in a 2D model of a 1mm tube in a tank using Fluent.

I'm using Eulerian-VOF multiphase modelling for 2 phases - water and air. Wall adhesion is activated and I've applied a contact angle of 30deg to both the tube and tank walls, surface tension of 0.072 N/m and set the flow as laminar.

All other values have been left as the default. The tube and tank have been patched with water.

The problem I'm having is that after the tube reaches it max. height of 12.5mm at t=0.1s, it begins to decrease before levelling off at around 9.55 mm at t=2.5s.

Have I made an error somewhere that results in the water level not staying constant at its max. height?

Thank you.
