Hello everyone!
I am working on a simulation of a Rotating detonation engine(RDE) using species transport using chemkin mechanism. I am using a 2-dimensional domain consisting of two parts (rectangles) on the same domain. The picture of domain is attached below. The first box has hydrogen oxygen and second box has hydrogen/air and the combustion (detonation) is initiated in first box and requiring it to travel to the second one. My question is, as the two parts contain different fuel-oxidiser combination and thus requiring two chemkin mechanisms, is it possible to first let the combustion (hydrogen oxygen) reach from box 1 to the boundary of box 2, stop the simulation and then change the chemkin mechanism (to hydorgen air) and continue the simulation for box 2? |
