How are pressure waves avoided when running the Pressure based Compressible solver?

Default How are pressure waves avoided when running the Pressure based Compressible solver?

I know that Fluent always solves the fully compressible form of NS equations. So when using the Pressure based solver with the compressible equation of state (EOS) for low Mach flow where the acoustic effects are unimportant, how are the Pressure waves/acoustic waves removed from the solution (steady-state or transient)?
