I am trying to get appropriate pathlines results from the centrifugal blood pump simulation where mine impeller's geometry has a washout hole at the center in which fluid is expected to go down and fill the clearance of the pump volume.
When no rotation speed is defined, the flow goes down as expected (Image 1), however, when I changed the rotation speed to 1500 RPM, there is no pathline that reaches the bottom or sometimes did not even go down in the washout hole (Image 2). Here are my boundary conditions: Inlet: Mass flow inlet (0.0875 kg/s) Outlet: Pressure outlet (0 Torr) Blade: 1500 RPM Any ideas about what the causes are and how to resolve them, please let me know. |
